How we verify information

What the community shares

The photos and text of every spot and route belong to whoever added them, and show their name. The team checks every new spot before it goes live, but does not change what its author wrote: when there is a guide, the author’s text is shown separately.

What a verified guide is

It is the «Practical information» block on a page: where to park, whether you need to book, whether access is regulated, whether swimming or dogs are allowed, mobile coverage, the best time to go, opening times and prices, and local rules. Each fact links to its source, and the page shows how many official sources it was checked against and when.

How it is made

1. We pick places based on what people search for most and on the season.
2. We gather official sources: town councils, protected-area consortia and natural parks, the Catalan government, mountain huts and the mountaineering federation. A blog, a forum or a review site is never enough on its own.
3. An artificial-intelligence assistant prepares a draft from those sources. Every fact carries its link, and no price, date or rule is written unless it is in the source.
4. A member of the team who knows the area reviews the draft fact by fact, opening each source. They correct what is needed and confirm each fact. A guide is only published once every fact is confirmed.
5. Facts that change every season, such as bookings, prices, opening times or swimming, have an expiry date. When it passes, the page marks them as pending re-verification until we check them again.

What «Pernocta verificada» means

A spot with this label is a place where the local town council confirmed to us in writing, in 2026, that staying overnight is allowed. Rules can change: always follow local signs and instructions.

If you spot a mistake

If a fact has changed or is wrong, write to us through Support. We check it against the source and fix the page.
