WalkingA circular route of approximately 10.5 km that explores the Muga River area and the surroundings of the Aiguamolls de l’Empordà wetlands, ideal for both cycling and walking.
It's an easy route with very little elevation gain (just 34 m), making it accessible to virtually any fitness level. Suitable for children and pets.
The route combines dirt tracks and wide paths that cross natural areas and open fields, allowing you to enjoy a peaceful environment with beautiful views. It's a very pleasant route to disconnect, observe nature, and get some exercise without strenuous physical exertion.
During the route, you'll reach the Cortalet area, one of the main information points for the natural park. Several marked trails start from here, and it's a prime spot for birdwatching, with viewpoints and designated areas. It's common to see different species in their natural habitat, which adds a special value to the route.
However, it's important to keep in mind that much of the route passes through areas with very little shade. On sunny days, the heat can be intense, so it's highly recommended to wear a hat, sunscreen, and bring plenty of water to stay hydrated throughout the route.
In short, a perfect option for a relaxed outing, whether on foot or by bike, especially recommended early in the morning or at sunset.
