Ruta Puig de la Balma

The trail crosses the Nespres stream via small wooden footbridges and winds through holm oak and oak forests, passing points of interest such as the Font de la Noguera spring, the stream's waterfall, old wine vats carved into the rock, and several viewpoints overlooking the valley and the farmhouse itself, nestled into the mountainside. In addition to offering rural accommodation, Puig de la Balma boasts a 14th-century chapel, an ethnographic museum with antique tools used by the family for generations, and several dining areas housed in historic spaces such as the old charcoal kiln and the old bread oven. After the hike, many visitors take the opportunity to return to Mura and explore its medieval stone streets, one of the main attractions of the Barcelona province's interior during the spring.
