The Sils Lake is a wetland that corresponds to the last vestige of what was an ancient natural lake located in the municipalities of Sils and Maçanet de la Selva, and which had been the largest lake in Catalonia.
It is currently still a very important habitat that acts as a refuge for many species. It is worth noting that thanks to its important biodiversity it is part of the Natura 2000 Network.
