01About the place
A fortified Romanesque bridge over the Fluvià River, providing access to the medieval town of Besalú in the Garrotxa region.
Documented since 1075, it features unequal arches in two sections forming an angle, a hexagonal tower atop a pier, and a fortified gateway. Two arches were destroyed in 1939, and it has been a listed cultural asset of national interest since 1954.
