A 19th-century crenellated tower in the historicist Neo-Gothic style stands in the small village of Sant Pau de la Calçada, south of Figueres and near the railway line.
It rises at the end of a terrace next to a house, atop a structure with seven semicircular arches, with a Romanesque chapel nearby; it is protected as a Local Cultural Asset.
