01About the place
A modernist building from 1909 in the center of Vilabertran (Alt Empordà), featuring a circular tower decorated with brick and ceramics and surrounded by gardens with a small lake.
It was commissioned by the forestry engineer Josep Reig i Palau, responsible for the reforestation of the Empúries dunes; it has been owned by the municipality since 1959 and houses the town hall, the medical clinic, and the school.
