01About the place
The central monument of the Monleras Amphitheater, a cultural space built by the town's residents themselves.
The granite pillars you see around it form a semicircle of menhirs, and the central sculpture was created by local artist Santiago Delgado as an evocation of Monleras' origins and history.
It is not an authentic prehistoric monument, although it is inspired by ancient megalithic elements. The ensemble was designed as part of the amphitheater, which became one of the town's symbols and received a beautification award from the Regional Government of Castile and León in 1991.
