Remains of Hortal Castle, on a small plateau 1 km west of Llers (Alt Empordà), next to the Mas de l'Estela farmhouse.
Documented in 1099, when Dalmau Berenguer de Quermançó ceded it to Count Bernat II of Besalú, it preserves a circular tower of about 7 m and sections of wall from the 13th-14th centuries, very deteriorated and covered with vegetation.
