01About the place
Remains of a slightly oval-shaped watchtower atop a small hill above the confluence of the Manol and Rissec rivers, at the entrance to Avinyonet de Puigventós.
Built of large stones joined with mortar, its walls now barely reach 40 cm in height; it is believed to be medieval, although the remains of roof tiles and amphorae in the surrounding area suggest a possible Roman origin.
