01About the place
The church of Sant Genís del Terrer is a small medieval church in ruins located on a high plateau near the Terrer pass, near Llançà, in the Alt Empordà.
Today only the remains are preserved, but it is a very interesting place from a historical and archaeological point of view.
Origin and history
The oldest known reference is from the year 974, in documents related to the monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes, which had many properties in the area.
Over the centuries it was abandoned and today only the main structures remain.
