The Molí Fondo de Sant Joan les Fonts is an old paper mill documented since 1723, located on the banks of the Fluvià River.
Over time, it played an important role in the industrial development of the town, as it used the power of water to move machinery and manufacture paper. In 1841, Pere Capdevila introduced a continuous paper machine, which modernized the production process.
