The Iberian settlement of Boscarró, in Sant Joan les Fonts, is an archaeological site located on a basalt cliff, near Molí Fondo.
It dates from approximately the 4th and 3rd centuries BC, and remains of walls, ceramics and amphorae have been found there, indicating that there was an Iberian community that lived on the resources of the area and maintained commercial contacts with other Mediterranean peoples. Its elevated location, next to the Fluvià river, provided it with good natural defense and allowed access to be controlled. This place is particularly interesting because it combines archaeological heritage with the volcanic landscape of La Garrotxa, showing how ancient communities took advantage of the natural characteristics of the territory to settle there.
