01About the place
The lighthouse stands at the tip of Cala Nans, at the southern end of the bay of Cadaqués, within the Cap de Creus Natural Park.
It was inaugurated in 1864, designed by the engineer J. M. Faquinetto, who also designed the Cap de Creus lighthouse. It has been automated since the 1960s, and whales are sometimes sighted from its platform.
