01About the place
A spring on the shady side of Puig Castellar, in Espolla, in a corner with abundant alders (verns) among burnt cork oaks; it was formerly called Verna del Bosqueret.
The Espolla Hunting Reserve restored it in 1978 with plastered brickwork and tiles to collect the maximum flow. According to La Fraternal Espollenca, the water has a very pleasant taste and flows slowly in summer, but never completely.
