Can Barris, in the village of Mont-roig de Darnius, preserves the memory of the livestock farming past of this corner of the Alt Empordà.
In 1720, Antoni Barris and his son Francesc agreed to take their livestock to graze on lands in Boadella, paying an annual sum to the church and respecting the vineyards and orchards of the surrounding area.
