Castle in the heart of the Albera forest, near the village of Requesens (La Jonquera), documented around the year 859.
What can be seen today is mainly the neo-medieval reconstruction of 1893–1899 directed by Alexandre Comalat for the Counts of Peralada, with three enclosures, crenellated towers and a chapel, considered one of the best examples of neo-medieval architecture in Catalonia.
