01About the place
A complex of two forts and a fortified gate on either side of the Roma River, in Les Cluses (Vallespir), which closed off the Via Domitia passage between Gaul and Hispania.
Occupation began in the late 4th or early 5th century, and a text from 673 refers to it as castrum clausuras; the Castell dels Moros measures approximately 80 × 140 m and has three square towers.
