01About the place
The Peñíscola Lighthouse is located at the highest point of the old town, right at the foot of the ramp leading up to the castle.
Inaugurated in October 1899, it stands out for being perfectly integrated among the town's traditional houses, appearing as just another dwelling. It features a white, octagonal tower, approximately 11 meters tall, situated about 56 meters above sea level. While the interior is currently closed to the public, its surroundings offer one of the most photographed viewpoints with the best views of the Mediterranean.
